MEET THE CHIEF

"Peace Be Unto the People of God!" Chief Bishop Rex Waddell has served both his congregation and the greater St. Louis metropolitan community since 1989. He also has worked as Overseeing Elder of the Second Episcopal Diocese of the Church of the Living God (C.W.F.F.) and served as the General Treasurer of the national organization.​

Married to the lovely Evangelist Roslyn Waddell for over 31 years, they have been blessed with two wonderful children, Chesley and Jordan. Pastor and Evangelist Waddell's personalities compliment each other and blend together seamlessly into an outstanding ministry team. ​

Bishop educational background includes a bachelor of education from Harris-Stowe University of St. Louis, Missouri, a master of education in curriculum and instruction from Southern Illinois University and he is currently completing a doctorate in leadership and policy at the University of Missouri-St.Louis. Bishop has served in numerous leadership capacities as executive director of several non-profit agencies, school administration, community activist and as the founder and dean of the Bishop W. E. Crumes Ministerial Institute. Bishop's secular education and leadership skills along with his in depth theological training , practical pastoral experience and organizational abilities makes him uniquely qualified for this office. In spite of all of these things, Bishop often says that "my main job is to stay out of God's way."  Bishop frequently reminds all us, that he stands in this place today not by any accomplishment or ability of his own but Bishop Waddell openly acknowledges that it is mostly certainly God's amazing grace and God's precious mercy that has afforded him the opportunity to serve God in this present capacity.
